King is a rangy, creative, skillful, quick & agile midfield attacker. King has also been praised for his work-rate and tactical intelligence off the ball, as well as his positional sense and attacking movement as a midfielder which often draws opposition defenders out of position, and in turn he creates spaces for his teammates. The more time coaches spend time with Kingston, the more they appreciated how high he was setting the bar—how he sees the game in a different way than the rest of the other kids. "He gets frustrated as he sees things other players don't," "He would then give them the solutions and tell them to make certain runs so they were in the right position. King is not just talk. He is doing it on the pitch. He is speaking with his feet and his mouth. The rest of his teammates now see and recognize his skill in leadership

Kingston is an excellent dribbler and has very quick feet. He is able to run at opponents and provide himself with many options to pass, shoot/cross, and dribble. Kingston can turn on the ball sharply and quickly...  Alliance FC John 

Kingston.... His talent is quite evident, but what makes him stand out is his enjoyment and commitment to become better. He plays the game with such enjoyment it is so nice to watch him. Kingston's change of speed, his dynamic individual technical level and his transition abilities are at the moment his biggest attributes. In the initial training sessions it was easy for myself and the London TFC technical and coaching staff to send a recommendation to Toronto FC and we were excited when Kingston was selected to their Academy squad. I look forward to following Kingston's progress.

Kingston has remarkable qualities for a  boy born in 2011.

Technically Kingston is able to dribble de ball very fast wile always maintaining close control, at the same time he is able to scan the field in order to find a better solution (tactical awareness) when dribbling is not possible. He thinks fast and is able to perform advanced splitting and diagonal passes which is unusual in his phase of development. Kingston always wants the ball at his feet so he demands it, this is a great quality and mental sign at this time! Kingston must improve and develop more variation when receiving and turning with the ball so he can be more unpredictable and efficient when directing his first touch forward and into space. Kingston loves to beat players with moves and has great goal instinct as he scores very very often! Kingston is also very proud in defending and fights for every ball.  Kingston is athletic, physically  coordinatand   has a strong center of gravity despite not being a big boy for his age. It is amazing how much desire, confidence and intensity Kingston shows at every single session! It is a joy to coach Kingston, I am excited to continue to stimulate him mostly technically and mentally in order to help and guide him towards reaching his full potential.  Jose "Garrincha" Figueiredo

Kingston Barrell is an excellent young soccer player. Kingston is technically very strong. His close control and 1 v 1 attacking ability stand out. He is comfortable in tight areas. He is a deceptive dribbler who uses multiple feints and turns to evade pressure. Kingston shows a high level of attacking awareness on the ball. He is quick to look forward and pick out passing options. He is composed and creative. He shows good initiative to join attacks and get into shooting positions. Kingston shows good intensity defensively and is determined in 1 v 1 situations.  Kingston's work ethic and desire to improve are  very impressive. He is a determined and highly motivated athlete but is also respectful and inclusive to all those around him. Kingston is an excellent teammate and interacts positively with all his peers. As Kingston grows and develops physically it will be exciting to watch his evolution. The sky is the limit!
